Apart from Supernatural, The Walking Dead is the biggest television horror show and franchise. Unlike Supernatural, the franchise is still going with two spinoffs and several more on the way. In the early seasons of Walking Dead, the show rivaled Game of Thrones in terms of popularity. In recent years its popularity has waned substantially along with the quality, although it has improved quite a bit in the most recent seasons compared to the slump from seasons 6-8.

The Walking Dead is a zombie apocalypse series based on the long-running comic books of the same name created by Robert Kirkman. It’s definitely worth watching, at least for the first half or so and Fear the Walking Dead started rough but has gotten much better in recent years. However, the latest spinoff, World Beyond, is a skip unless you’re a diehard fan. World Beyond doesn’t offer much we haven’t seen the series tackle before.
