Evil happens to be one of my favorite horror shows of all time and thankfully for fans of the show, it has already been renewed for a third season. The first two seasons are streaming now on Paramount+. The series begins with forensic psychologist Dr. Kristen Bouchard teaming up with Catholic priest-in-training David Acosta and technical contractor/skeptic Ben Shakir.
Together, the trio is hired by the Catholic church to investigate interesting phenomena that could be supernatural or spiritual in meaning. They’re tasked with figuring out the logical reasoning behind everything from possessions to songs that drive teenage girls to puncture their eardrums. Each week features a different case, but there are also overarching storylines in the series as well.
As Evil progresses, Kristen, a skeptic at first, must challenge her beliefs as she encounters seemingly unexplainable encounters with demons and much darker stuff. It’s such a fun show and it’s genuinely scary at times with crazy creatures that will have you theorizing and wondering what’s real and what’s not?
