At the end of Yellowjackets episode 5, Shauna, Natalie and Taissa finally got together in the present day for the first time this season. Misty, who previously planted a camera in Nat’s apartment, watches them as they gather and strategize about a blackmail text regarding the mysterious symbol, a text I’m pretty sure Misty sent herself.

What is happening in Yellowjackets episode 6?

In the wilderness, it looks like some couples will be heating things up, such as Taissa and Van, as the team tangles with the birds and the bees. Then the preview teases Shauna going through something traumatic in the woods. The synopsis says this episode will feature “DIY surgery,” so I’m assuming, now that we’ve established she’s pregnant, Shauna will have an abortion.

I know she has a daughter, Callie, in the future, but I’m not sure if the timeline works for this baby to be her. I can’t imagine Shauna would choose to raise a baby in the wilderness, nor can I picture the show suddenly skipping nine months ahead to make Shauna give birth this week, so abortion seems like the most likely answer.

Present-day Misty prepares for a “surprise(d) houseguest.” Since the teaser shows someone getting stabbed with a syringe, I think Misty has kidnapped someone, possibly Jessica Roberts.

The new episode will start streaming on Showtime at 12:01 a.m. ET on Sunday, December 19. Episode 6 will also air in its usual 10:00 p.m. ET timeslot on the linear Showtime channel following a new episode of Dexter: New Blood.
