Netflix in January 2022: 1BR (2019)

1BR is an American horror film that initially premiered at Fantasia Fest in July 2019 and David Marmor’s directorial debut. The title is a reference to real estate listings noting an apartment or property with “one bedroom.” In 1BR, a young woman moves into a seemingly perfect apartment with a tight-knit community.

But her initial impressions turn out to be horrifically wrong when she realizes there are severe consequences for breaking rules in this complex. Nicole Brydon Bloom (The Affair), Giles Matthey (True Blood), Taylor Nichols (The Last Days of Disco), Alan Blumenfeld (Heroes) and Naomi Grossman (American Horror Story) star.

Netflix in January 2022: All of Us Are Dead (2022)

All of Us Are Dead is an upcoming South Korean series set during a zombie apocalypse. It’s a little different from the traditional zombie story as All of Us Are Dead is a coming-of-age story set inside a school where the students are trapped during the outbreak. It’s based on the Naver webtoon Now at Our School by Joo Dong-geun.

Netflix has not released the official release date yet for the series, but we should find out soon. Per What’s On Netflix, the new K-drama is directed by Lee Jae Gyoo, known for his work on projects like King2Hearts, Trap and Intimate Strangers. All of Us Are Dead stars Yoon Chan Young (Everything and Nothing), Park Ji Hoo (Home Without Me), Jo Yi Hyun (Hospital Playlist), Park Solomon (Lookism) and Yoo In Soo (Stranger 2). The first season will consist of 12 episodes, according to the official Netflix press site.
