Netflix in January 2022: Paranormal Activity (2007)

Watch the movie that kickstarted the multi-million dollar found-footage franchise that is still going strong in 2021 with the recent release of the Paramount+ exclusive film Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin. Made on a shoestring budget, the original 2007 film impressed the masses with its genuinely chilling story and helped to revitalize the found-footage genre.

The story has a fairly simple premise, a couple moves into a regular suburban home, but soon the pair discovers something strange and supernatural might be occurring where they live. They set up cameras around the house to monitor the events, unprepared for the horrors to come.
