Netflix in January 2022: Scary Stories: To Tell In The Dark (2019)

In 2019, director André Øvredal brought to life the popular, yet terrifying, children’s book by Alvin Schwartz, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. With a story worked on by Guillermo del Toro, you can imagine the kind of haunting monstrosities featured in this chilling movie.

In the small town of Mill Valley, the Bellows family looms large over the town’s residents. Sarah Bellows chronicles her torturous years growing up with the family in a series of scary stories. When a group of teens stumbles upon the old book inside the manor, they find these tales start to become all too real.
