Netflix in January 2022: Zone 414 (2021)
Zone 414 is a relatively new sci-fi thriller that will make its streaming debut on Netflix. “Zone 414” is a dangerous colony of humanoids. The colony’s creator hires a private investigator, David Carmichael, to find his missing daughter. By working alongside an advanced AI named Jane, David and Jane must travel through the metropolis in search of the creator’s daughter.
Jane is different from other humanoids because she has actual emotions and dreams akin to a human being. On the way, they discover clues about a crime that reveal the sinister origins behind the city of robots and the humanoids. Guy Pearce, Matilda Lutz and Travis Fimmel star.

Netflix in January 2022: The Wasteland / The Beast (2022)
The Beast is a 2021 Spanish horror film revolving around a 19th-century family that lives in the middle of nowhere, isolated from society. The family, which consists of one child, Diego, and his crazed mother, glimpse a chilling creature perched on the horizon that inches closer to them each day. This evil being that feeds on fear. Can Diego save himself and his mother from the beast? Note that the movie is actually called The Wasteland on Netflix.
