13 horror movies and thrillers leaving Netflix in January 2022 (and where to stream them now)

A new month is upon us, and unfortunately, that means that while many great new movies and shows are coming to Netflix in January 2022, there are also many that are leaving Netflix in January.

All the horror and thriller content making an exodus this month has already left, with the bulk leaving on January 1 and Snowpiercer making its swift exit one day later. If you had any of the following movies on your watchlist and missed your chance to watch them while they were available on Netflix, you might still have a chance to watch them on another streaming platform.

Additionally, while not a horror franchise, vampire fans will want to jump on The Twilight Saga before it’s gone. The franchise is leaving Netflix on January 16 and relocating to Peacock, which will become their new streaming home.

Several of the above films haven’t even been on Netflix for very long, but it’s not uncommon for movies to come and go, especially since some of these were likely added specifically for the Halloween season and have now wrapped their brief licensing deals.

The good news is, some of the movies listed above are available to stream on other platforms.
