Chucky and Reginald the Vampire coming to Syfy in October
By Carla Davis
At long last, Syfy has announced the premiere date for season two of Chucky, the series based on the Child’s Play films.
The network also announced a new comedy/horror series that we will be able to watch in October, Reginald the Vampire. First, let’s take a look at the highly-anticipated Chucky.
In the first season, our little carrot topped psycho demon doll failed when he attempted to take over American children’s hospitals, and for season two, he is seeking revenge against the people he believes stood in his way.
This means the lives of Jake (Zackary Arthur), Devon (Bjorgvin Arnarson), Tiffany (Jennifer Tilly) and Lexy (Alyvia Alyn Lind) are all in jeopardy. And we all know Chucky can hold a deadly grudge.
1428 Elm recently covered the exciting cast announcements for season two, and you can read all of that info here. It looks like Syfy is pulling out all the stops for the new season!
Season two of Chucky premieres on October 5 at 9:00 p.m. ET, and will be available on both Syfy and USA.
Been dying to see what Chucky will be up to in the next season? Here’s the newly released teaser:
Next up is Reginald the Vampire, a series based on the Fat Vampire series of books by Johnny B. Truant. In a world populated by beautiful and well-toned vampires, Reginald just doesn’t quite fit in.
He doesn’t look like the other vamps, and he struggles with a bullying manager at his job and a vampire chieftain who thinks Reginald is better off dead. Not only that, he is infatuated with a girl he can’t have.
Jacob Balaton (Spider-Man) will play the title character in Reginald the Vampire, which makes its debut on Syfy October 5 at 10:00 p.m. ET. Watch the teaser for Reginald the Vampire below:
