Tune in for Joe Bob’s Vicious Vegas Valentine special on Shudder

The Last Drive In fans can now breathe a sigh of relief, because the Valentine’s Special has FINALLY been announced. Joe Bob Briggs himself made the announcement on Twitter today, so mark the date and time on your calendars, Mutants.

Joe Bob’s Vicious Vegas Valentine will be available to stream live on Friday, February 10, 9:00 p.m. ET, and it will include what Joe Bob refers to as “the Mutant Wedding of the Century.” Fans of The Last Drive In will remember that the on-set wedding was one of the items auctioned off during the Christmas Special, Joe Bob’s Ghoultide Get-Together.

We were all on pins and needles waiting for the official announcement of the Valentine’s  special, because Shudder seemed to be taking an especially long time to release the news. Fans are anxious to hear more about the horror streaming platform’s future since AMC Networks laid off a number of staff members in Deember, leaving the publicity department in some disarray.

Thankfully, the January and February schedules didn’t seem to be skimpy at all, and most people believe that Shudder will eventually become part of AMC+.

There is no real clue as to which films will be shown during the double feature, but JB did state that “you will not BELIEVE what movie the happy couple has approved for the wedding itself!” As we all know by now, there is not even a guarantee that the film will be related to Valentine’s Day at all.

For 2022’s Heartbreak Trailer Park, we were treated to Black Roses and Frankenhooker, and 2021’s Joe Bob Put a Spell on You presented Tammy and the T-Rex and The Love Witch. A good guess for Joe Bob’s Vicious Vegas Valentine might be My Bloody Valentine, which was added to Shudder recently. But, who knows for sure, because JB loves to stump us!
