Where and when you can watch the new Children of the Corn movie
“Prepare to witness the horrific rise of the next generation of evil,” a narrator with an ominous-sounding voice warns at the beginning of the trailer for the new Children of the Corn movie.
Then it cuts to our first glimpse of an otherwise cherubic-looking little girl…if it wasn’t for that unholy expression on her face.
Move over, Isaac. Past the hat —and a pair of red cowboy boots— to Eden. She’s taking over the bidding for “He Who Walks Behind the Rows” now. Or just “He Who Walks” as they’ve shortened it for this movie.
Let’s take a quick peek at what this new iteration based on the short story by Stephen King is about, as well as where and when we can watch it.
Children of the Corn 2023 remake storyline
Possessed by a spirit in a dying cornfield, twelve-year-old Eden recruits the other children in her small town to rise up and take control. Tired of having to pay the price for their parent’s mistakes, Eden leads the kids on a bloody rampage, killing the adults and anyone who opposes her. With all the adults jailed or dead, it comes down to one high schooler who won’t go along with the plan and becomes the town’s only hope of survival.
It’s pretty much the same plotline we’re familiar with from the 1984 movie. Except instead of a couple traveling through a town and coming across a group of spooky murderous kids possessed by an evil spirit lurking in the cornfields who have already killed the adult townspeople, we get to witness it happening.
Children of the Corn 2023 release date
According to Decider, the Children of the Corn remake hits theaters on March 3. It will have an “18-day theatrical window” before heading to video on demand.
