By Carla Davis
Discovery and Travel Channel have just announced the return of Ghost Hunters, which will be back with an all new series of episodes in April.
Jason Hawes, along with his team of investigators Steve Gonsalves, Shari DeBenedetti and Dave Tango will be exploring mines, mansions, prisons and the Hoover Dam in the new season. As always, they will armed with the latest technology in paranormal investigation, and special guests will be joining them along the way.
During the eight-episode season, the Ghost Hunters team will welcome Chandler Riggs (The Walking Dead), who will assist them in investigating paranormal activity in The Bastille, which is a 125-year-old Wild West jail. Also joining the team at The Bastille will be Satori Hawes and Cody DesBiens.
Ghost Hunters will debut on Thursday, April 6 at 9:00 p.m. ET, and all episodes will air on both Travel Channel and discovery+.
Here’s a breakdown of Ghost Hunters episodes this season:
Dead Man Walking (Thursday, April 6, 9:00 p.m. ET) – The abandoned Bastille has sat in Hanford, California for over 125 years. As a former Wild West jail, the building has been the site of paranormal activity, reported by multiple businesses that have come and gone over the years. The Ghost Hunters team, along with Chandler Riggs, Satori Hawes and Cody DesBiens investigate the jail in an attempt to prove or disprove that the deaths and tragedies that have occurred are the cause for the haunting activity.
Trapped in Terror (April 13, 9:00 p.m. ET) – Dakota Laden and the team from Destination Fear join TAPS in an investigation of the Argonaut and Kennedy gold mines in California. In 1922, 47 miners were trapped 4,650 feet underground in the Argonaut mine by a fire. It took more than two days to extinguish the flames, and another three weeks to get to the trapped men, all of whom died. It’s only natural that the area now experiences strange activity, and the TAPS and Destination Fear teams work together to figure it all out.
The Hoover Damned (April 20, 9:00 p.m. ET) – Joined by investigators Dustin Pari and Kris Williams, the Ghost Hunters check out reported paranormal activity at the historic Hoover Dam in Nevada. What is causing the shadow figures that have been spotted?
The Mansion of Misfortune (April 27, 9:00 p.m. ET) – Satori Hawes and Cody DesBiens help TAPS out again, as they explore a mansion in Alabama. Once a gathering place for local members of high society, the mansion has also been home to bad luck and misfortune.
Unholy Matrimony (May 4, 9:00 p.m. ET) – Dustin Pari and the TAPS team work together to help a couple clear the frightening activity from the home of one of America’s founding fathers. The couple wants to hold their wedding at the home, but an evil energy may prevent the proceedings from being joyful.
The Myth of St. Ignatius (May 11, 9:00 p.m. ET) – Mythbusters’ Tory Belleci assists with an investigation in Colfax, Washington. That’s where the abandoned St. Ignatius hospital is located, and it is said that death, illness and a scandal have resulted in dark energy invading the space.
Generations of Ghosts (May 18, 9:00 p.m. ET) – Rose Mont is an historic former cattle farm in Gallatin, Tennessee. After they receive a call for help, the TAPS team responds to investigate a spike in the frightening paranormal activity that has been present for decades. Can TAPS help the staff at the mansion before someone gets hurt?
Diocese of the Dead (May 25, 9:00 p.m. ET) – For the season finale, Ghost Hunters investigates a family home in Ogdensburg, New York. The home was once a church rectory, and the family claims to have experienced frightening paranormal activity that may result from its religious past. Jason’s son Austin and Dustin Pari hope to help the family regain their home.
