Train to Busan is a 2016 Korean horror-thriller film directed by Yeon Sang-ho. Seok-woo, Soo-an and a small group of other survivors must fight their way through the infected passengers to reach the front of the train, where they hope to find safety in Busan. Along the way, they face numerous challenges, including desperate survivors, dangerous obstacles and the ever-growing number of zombies. The story is not just a thrilling zombie flick but also provides social commentary on class and humanity.
Train to Busan has been widely praised for its gripping plot, impressive special effects and exceptional performances by the cast. The film was a commercial and critical success in Korea and internationally, grossing over $93 million worldwide. It was nominated for numerous awards, including Best Director and Best Film at the 2016 Asia Pacific Screen Awards.
