Chucky the TV series was inspired by the Child’s Play franchise of horror movies. But will there now be even more of the scary little doll running around this Halloween? Did the TV series further inspire a Chucky haunted house at this year’s Halloween Horror Nights?

If the teaser featured on the Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) YouTube Channel is correct, then yes. It’s true. The creepy little red-headed toy is getting his own haunted house.

Here’s the description HHN included with the teaser that they released last year :

"An all-new haunted house inspired by the USA & SYFY hit series, “Chucky,” is coming to Halloween Horror Nights 2023 at Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood Fall 2023."

Why we’re not positive there will be a Chucky haunted house

The trouble is, we still don’t know for sure yet that there will be one. I mean, that trailer sure looks promising and legit.

But when Universal Orlando recently released dates and ticket prices for HHN 2023, they didn’t announce much about the haunted houses themselves. Not specifics like what each house will be called, or the overall theme of this year’s celebration, if there is one.

So far, about the only thing they have announced on the haunted house front is that there will be 10 of them this year. That’s in addition to five scare zones, live entertainment, access to some of the rides, as well as specialty food and drinks, and themed merchandise.

Last year’s haunted houses followed the same suit they do every year. That is to say, they were a mix of original haunted houses mixed with pop culture inspiration. Some of last year’s original houses included Bugs, Spirits of the Coven and Dead Man’s Pier: Winter’s Wake. Some that were based on music and horror movie pop culture included The Weekend: After Hours Nightmare and The Horrors of Blumhouse.

One house they had last year that they’ve had before was Halloween. Probably because Michael Myers is usually on everyone’s mind around Halloween, but especially last year with the release of Halloween Ends. Will it make a repeat appearance this year too?

We don’t know. But you know we will update you with a new post formally announcing the Chucky haunted house as well as the other nine as soon as we know them.
