Kelli Maroney got her start on television soap opera Ryan’s Hope, but her big screen debut was in the 1982 classic film Fast Times at Ridgemont High. She played cute blonde cheerleader Cindy, and quickly became an American Sweeheart.

Her entry into Scream Queens territory came with her appearance in 1984 horror film Night of the Comet, for which she once again donned a cheerleader costume. That turquoise and hot pink costume sold for nearly $10,000 at a 2021 auction, and that’s proof of horror fans’ ongoing love for the film.

In 1985, Maroney appeared in The Zero Boys and Chopping Mall, thus cementing her place on the Scream Queens roster. In the years since, she has appeared in horror films such as Exorcism at 60,000 Feet, The Deep Ones and Scare Package II, as well as appearing in the series True Blood and in parts 1 and 2 of 1980s horror film documentary In Search of Darkness.

Like Jamie Lee Curtis and Felissa Rose, Kelli Maroney is beloved by horror fans thanks to her continued involvement with the horror genre. She is another favorite at horror conventions, and is very active with her followers on social media.
