Little Bites is a forthcoming horror movie with some interesting names attached to it. Not to mention surprising ones, too, like Cher and Chaz Bono, two of the movie’s producers. Bono also appears in the movie.

“Has Cher ever made a horror movie before?” was the first thing I wondered when I read The Hollywood Reporter’s article about Little Bites. Followed closely by, “Or has Chaz?”

Cher, no. (But her voice has been in two Scooby-Doo episodes: The New Scoody-Doo Movies in 1972 and Scooby-Doo and Guess Who? in 2021.)

Bono, yes. He’s been in a few horror movies, actually, including Reborn, 3 From Hell (uncredited) and Bury the Bride. He was also in two seasons of American Horror Story (Roanoke and Cult)

But now mom and son and teaming up for their first horror movie project together.

Little Bites storyline

Here’s the description The Hollywood Reporter shared:

"Little Bites follows Mindy, a young widow and mother who tries to protect her daughter Alice from a flesh eating monster named Agyar. Mindy has been secretly sacrificing her own life by allowing the creature to feast on her body as she keeps Alice hidden away at her grandmother’s house."

Cast and crew

The movie stars Krsy Fox (who was also in Bury the Bride) as “Mindy,” Jon Sklaroff as “Agyar,” and Elizabeth Phoenix Caro as “Alice.”

But Little Bites also boasts a couple of familiar faces from 80s horror movies, like Barbara Crampton (Re-Animator, From Beyond) and Heather Langenkamp (Nightmare on Elm Street, Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, The Midnight Club).

And then there’s Bonnie Aarons, who also boasts a familiar face but not from any 80s movies. Rather, she played the titular character in The Nun.

Music and horror connections

So many of us know Cher from her mega music career. However, she’s not the only one who hails from a music background.

Little Bites is written and directed by Spider One, the frontman of the rock band Powerman 5000. Rocker and horror movie director Rob Zombie is also his older brother.
