It’s officially an afterlife crisis! The hit vampire mockumentary show What We Do in the Shadows from FX has revealed its new trailer for the upcoming fifth season.

Picking up where the last season left off with several cliffhangers, especially in the arc of abused familiar Guillermo, the new season is looking like it’ll be a “hot vampire summer.”

Set for a worldwide release on July 13, the trailer’s got several scenes involving the beloved characters trying to figure out how to deal with the big changes in their respective unlives.

Nandor the Relentless, the conqueror from the Ottoman Empire, is trying to figure out how to purchase stuff at the mall with only coupons. Sadly, he’s even screwed up the coupons.

Meanwhile Colin Robinson, the resident energy vampire looks like he’s running for a community government post and already feeding on his future constituents! Nadja, the vampiric Mata Hari, has suffered from a particularly strong hex and is trying to get her spirit doll clone laid.

The biggest arc resolution fans have been waiting for from last season though is Guillermo’s. Looks like the vampire familiar, played by Harvey Guillen, who finds out he has ancient vampire hunter blood in his veins may finally get his wish and become a true bloodsucker. It looks like it’ll happen in the most casual and transactional of ways, much to his dismay after decades of waiting.

It also looks like the recurring character played by Kristen Schaal, called The Guide, will be joining the house of the Staten Island crew on a more permanent basis. She’s finding out that the quirks and individual dramas of her new house mates aren’t exactly easy to deal with either.

What We Do in the Shadows is based on the 2014 feature film of the same title by Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi. Since the series debuted it’s since gained both popular and critical acclaim, bagging 17 Emmy nominations over its last four seasons.

The all-star cast starring Kayvan Novak, Matt Berry, Natasia Demetriou, Mark Proksch, have formed a hilarious dynamic where a group of documentary filmmakers follow their ancient blood sucker characters around as they try to navigate living together under the same mansion in the New York suburbs. It’s like if Friends ever became a vampire sitcom.
