Tubi is adding more original horror and thrillers in July, along with a strong selection of additions to their regular library. Let’s take a look at what  we can see on Tubi in the coming month:

July 1:

1408 – John Cusack stars in this adaptation of a Stephen King story, in which a writer investigates locations said to be haunted. Things go badly when he ignores warnings not to stay in room #1408 at a New York City hotel.

Blade – Wesley Snipes is a vampire/human hybrid who has all the strengths of a vampire with none of the weaknesses. Together with his mentor Whistler (Kris Kristofferson), Blade is on a mission to hunt and destroy vampires.

Dead Ringers – Jeremy Irons plays twins in this David Cronenberg film, which was inspired by the crazy real-life story of Stewart and Cyril Marcus. If you recognize the title, that’s because the film was remade into an Amazon series starring Rachel Weisz.

VENICE, ITALY – SEPTEMBER 03: Michael Jai White, Tory Kittles, S. Craig Zahler, Vince Vaughn and guest walk the red carpet ahead of the ‘Dragged Across Concrete’ screening during the 75th Venice Film Festival at Sala Grande on September 3, 2018 in Venice, Italy. Dragged Across Concrete – A neo-noir thriller, this one features quite an ensemble cast, including Mel Gibson, Vince Vaughn, Jennifer Carpenter, Don Johnson and Udo Kier. Gibson and Vaughn are two police detectives desperate for money after being suspended for police brutality. The two decide to rob a professional thief, and everything goes violently south.

Fallen – Man, I need to revisit this one, I remember really liking it! Denzel Washington and John Goodman play two police detectives who end up embroiled in a mystery involving a demon named Azazel, who can jump from person to person.

Hostel – In this “torture porn” horror film, three young men visit a hostel in Slovakia, and end up being tortured by sadists with money to spare. Hostel was written and directed by Eli Roth and executive produced by Quentin Tarantino.

Hostel: Part II – This time, our travelers are three female art students who are kidnapped and tortured. The best-loved scene in this equally bloody sequel is when Heather Matarazzo is hung upside down over a bathtub. I won’t give it away, in case you haven’t seen it yet.

Insidious: Chapter 3 – This prequel was the first film to be directed by Leigh Wannell, and it takes us back to three years before the Lambert family became haunted. That time frame allows us to revisit Lin Shaye’s character of Elise, and learn more about her.

Maggie – Arnold Schwarzenegger is surprisingly good in one of his few dramatic roles as Wade, a father desperately trying to hold onto his daughter Maggie (Abigail Breslin), who is slowly transforming into a zombie. This is not your average fast-paced zombie flick, so be prepared for a more serious take on the sub-genre.

Seven -In one of the grimmest films of all time, Brad Pitt is a young, idealistic detective who moves to a violent city, where he is paired with a detective getting ready to retire (Morgan Freeman). The two are soon hot on the trail of a serial killer committing murders inspired by the seven deadly sins.

July 3:

Carrie – In this remake, Chloe Grace Moretz portrays the shy, bullied Carrie, a high school girl with a religious fanatic for a mother. When her classmates push her too far, Carrie’s burgeoning telekinetic powers come out in full, bloody force.

July 8:

Deep Web: Murdershow  (Tubi Original)– When a podcaster’s sister is killed, he begins an investigation with a shocking discovery: a website exists wherein the highest bidder gets to decide how a victim dies.

July 12:

Scariest Places in the World (Tubi Original) – Tubi takes us on a journey to explore 10 different locations all over the world. The destinations include abandoned islands and haunted castles among others.

Cabin Girl (Tubi Original) – A van-life influencer decides to move into an old cabin with a dark history, only to become haunted by a mysterious spirit.

July 14:

Meet the Killer Parents (Tubi Original) – When the daughter of a wealthy family dies, they come up with the perfect plan to replace her: drug and groom the son’s girlfriend. They don’t plan on her trying to escape.

July 28:

No Filter (Tubi Original) – Anna has become a viral sensation thanks to her outrageous pranks on video. But when a demon invades her feed, Anna has to fight to keep her life, both real and online.

Five Star Murder (Tubi Original) – While a group of cutthroat treasure hunters are trapped in a hotel due to a storm, a guest and a concierge work together to investigate a murder.

Next. A few of my favorite October / Halloween things. dark
