Here’s a sneak peek at season three of USA/SYFY series Chucky
By Carla Davis
SYFY/USA series Chucky is coming back for another season in October, and we have the scoop on what fans can expect to see in the series’ third season.
Season one was set four years after the time frame of Cult of Chucky in Hackensack, New Jersey. 14-year-old Jake found a familiar looking carrot-topped Good Guy doll at a yard sale, intending to create a Halloween art project.
Unfortunately for Jake (and everyone around him), this is the Chucky…you know, the one possessed by the soul of an evil serial killer named Charles Lee Ray (menacingly voiced by Brad Dourif).
As shocking murders begin to happen in town, Jake found himself the main suspect in the brutal killings, and viewers found themselves watching flashbacks of Charles Lee Ray’s childhood. We were also treated to the return of multiple Child’s Play characters, including Andy, Tiffany Valentine and Nica.
Season two continued the murderous hijinks of Chucky, who seemingly cannot be permanently destroyed. Just for fun, one episode featured a mini reunion of cast members from the 1996 film Bound: Jennifer Tilly, who plays Tiffany Valentine, was joined by Gina Gersho and Joe Pantoliano.
More shocking murders occurred as a virtual plethora of Chucky dolls wreaked havoc, and we also saw the return of Glen and Glenda.
So what’s happening in season three of Chucky?
Well, the tagline for the season is “He’s running for your lives.” It seems our deranged doll is now living in the White House with the First Family. How did this happen? Jake, Devon and Lexy have to figure out how to get to Chucky while he is in perhaps the best-guarded home in the entire country.
While this is going on, Tiffany finds herself being watched very closely by law enforcement, who are after her the murders committed by “Jennifer Tilly” last season.
Chucky will return on October 4, with new episodes debuting every Wednesday at 9:00 p.m. ET on SYFY/USA. Episodes will then be available to stream the next day on Peacock
