Spirit Halloween and Kung Fu Tea are getting into the Halloween spirit by collaborating on some pretty cool costumes this year.

Everyone is familiar with Spirit Halloween of course, but what about Kung Fu Tea? The company was founded in Queens, NY in April of 2010, and specializes in bubble tee (AKA boba milk tea or pearl milk tea). The Taiwanese beverage blends together milk and fruit, then adds chewy tapioca balls for a truly magical (and very trendy) experience.

Every beverage at Kung Fu Tea is handcrafted, and they use only high quality ingredients, prepared by the boba tea equivalent of baristas.

What does the Spirit Halloween and Kung Fu Tea collaboration include?

The two companies have joined forces to create five exclusive costumes:

  • Kung Fu Tea Boba Buddy Costume, featuring a cartoon smiley face
  • Kung Fu Milk Tea Costume inspired by Kung Fu Tea’s signature drink.
  • Kung Fu Tea Matcha Milk Cap Costume, for those who love their drinks made with green tea.
  • Kung Fu Tea Taro Milk Tea Costume, a fun light purple-colored costume sure to “bubble up compliments.”
  • Kung Fu Tea Strawberry Slush Dress – Pink is so in this year, what with the Barbie movie being such a hit! This pink pastel dress is just the thing for those who prefer their costumes to be extra sweet.

All of these costumes can only be found on the Spirit Halloween website or in their stores, and Kung Fu Tea has also created a limited-edition Spirit Spooky Slush, available at all Kung Fu Tea locations beginning October 1.

The “spirited” slush combines matcha slush with a Taro Milk Cap. For an extra Halloween-centric flavor, the slush is topped with Oreo pieces. Your Spirit Spooky Slush will be served in a Spirit Halloween themed collector’s item cup, featuring Spirit’s “Jack the Reaper” character.

At each Kung Fu Tea location, the first 100 customers who order the Spirit Spooky Slush will get a Jack the Reaper straw cap, and the first 300 will get a collector’s sticker, so be sure to stake out your location on October 1!

Says Kym Sarkos, Executive VP at Spirit Halloween:

"“We love teaming up with brands that our customers are passionate about and finding new ways for fans to experience the products they love most. This collaboration with Kung Fu Tea is exciting for us as we’re debuting the first ever Spirit Halloween-inspired drink.”"

But wait, there’s more! If you wear your Kung Fu Tea costume to your local Kung Fu Tea store on Tuesday, October 31, you get a free drink! So visit the Spirit Halloween website now to pick your own costume.
