Did you love Netflix’s The Babysitter as much as I did? If so, here is some news that should make you very happy. In a recent interview with Comicbook.com, The Babysitter and The Babysitter: Killer Queen director McG said a third installment is still possible.

The Babysitter was released on Netflix in 2017, and it became quite a well-deserved hit. Fueled by a sharp, funny script and great chemistry between its lead actors Samara Weaving (Bee) and young Judah Lewis (Cole), the film was perfect for horror lovers.

In addition to Lewis and Weaving, there were killer performances by Hana Mae Lee, Bella Thorne, Robbie Amell and Andrew Bachelor as Bee’s demon worshipping pals. That whole group worked so well together! And while it has a lot of comedic content, the film didn’t skimp on the blood and horror. That first kill is shocking when you don’t expect it.

Three years later, McG and Netflix were back with The Babysitter: Killer Queen. Also back were Judah Lewis and the team of Lee, Thorne, Amell and Bachelor, and even Emily Alyn Lind as Cole’s childhood crush Melanie. Although Jenna Ortega took over the leading lady duties as the tough as nails Phoebe, Samara Weaving did show up in a surprise appearance towards the end of the film.

What would a third The Babysitter film look like?

To start with, it will almost certainly bring Judah Lewis back as Cole. In an interview with Bloody Disgusting, McG had this to say about the character:

"“There’s the first beat, which is an adolescent Cole, who is having these strange feelings about the babysitter. But naturally it’s not appropriate for him to realize those feelings with a grown woman. In the second film he’s in an age where he can experience love… and we could explore that.”"

He seemed reluctant to disclose the details of Cole’s “third beat.”

I personally believe that Bee’s pals would be back for a new film, and I hope that Samara Weaving will again put in at least a cameo appearance. After all, she is the title character, right?
