A sequel to Shudder Original movie Influencer is coming soon
Shudder's 2022 movie Influencer was very well-received by critics and viewers, and now we'll soon be getting a sequel. The first movie followed an influencer on a solo backpacking trip who crosses paths with a seemingly friendly girl named CW (Cassandra Naud) who turns out to have ill intentions.
The sequel from writer and director Kurtis David Harder recently wrapped filming and Shudder has picked up the rights to the movie in English-speaking territories. Per Deadline, Naud is back in the leading role and will be joined by Georgina Campbell from Barbarian and the upcoming film The Shepherd. Veronica Long, Lisa Delamar, Jonathan Whitesell, and Dylan Playfair also star.
About the film, Harder says, "It’s a film that plays with perception. Fans of Influencer will feel something familiar beneath the surface, but the real fun is discovering just how deep those connections run.”
