As much as we love Halloween, there is always a little dip in the mood once October 31 comes and goes. Christmas is great, but it's not the same as spooky season.

Thankfully, though, this year horror fans will still have plenty of content to look forward to well into November and December. Big horror films like Heretic and Nosferatu are still on the way! Plus, even though Terrifier 3 was released in October, it's a Christmas-set horror film, so I'm sure it will be available digitally before the holidays or potentially get a theatrical re-release around the big day.

Here are five horror movies you can look forward to seeing before the year is over!

Heretic (Nov. 8)

Like several of the movies on this list, Heretic is another film that already had its world premiere at a film festival earlier this year. It's already generating positive buzz, with critics praising it as an inventive thriller anchored by phenomenal performances from the cast, which includes Hugh Grant at his most sinister, Sophie Thatcher, and Chloe East. East and Thatcher play a pair of Mormon missionaries who make the mistake of trying to convert Mr. Reed (Grant) and find themselves in a terrifying trap.

Nightbitch (Dec. 6)

Amy Adams returns to lead this comedy-horror film based on Rachel Yoder's novel of the same name. Touting a female director/writer in Marielle Heller (The Diary of a Teenage Girl), the film revolves around a struggling stay-at-home mom who believes she is transforming into a dog. While the initial trailer received mixed reactions, Nightbitch officially premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September and garnered a more positive critical reception.

Y2K (Dec. 6)

The latest flick from A24 looks and sounds similar to Bodies Bodies Bodies, except this time it is set on New Year's Eve 1999, at the height of fears and technological panic related to the year 2000, which is often abbreviated to Y2K. Blending horror and comedy, Y2K takes place at a party that gets very out of hand when a bug causes all of the technology to come to life and wreak havoc. Y2K marks the directorial debut of comedian and former Saturday Night Live cast member Kyle Mooney.

Get Away (Dec. 6)

After debuting at Fantastic Fest, Nick Frost's comedic slasher Get Away will be released by IFC Films theatrically before making its Shudder debut sometime next year. As the title suggests, the film centers on a family headed out for a fun family vacation, or "getaway," only to learn they've traveled to an island with a serial killer on the loose.

Nosferatu (Dec. 25)

Robert Eggers' (The Witch, The Lighthouse) highly-anticipated remake of the classic 1922 German film is coming to theaters on Christmas Day this year. Starring Bill Skarsgård as the foreboding Count Orlok, Nosferatu is a lush gothic tale of obsession between a young woman and the vampire infatuated with her. Apart from Skarsgård, the film also stars Willem Dafoe, Nicholas Hoult, Lily-Rose Depp, Emma Corrin, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. It's one of the biggest movies coming out this winter and should not be missed.
