This movie is just as interesting as it sounds. Two teens devise a plan to pull the ultimate prank on a cranky old man neighbor, played by James Caan. When he leaves his house, they set up equipment to make him believe that his house is actually haunted by ghosts. Using hidden cameras, they want to capture the unfiltered reaction of someone being frightened by what they believe is an actual evil spirit.
As you can expect, the prank doesn’t exactly go as planned.
At first, the teens are mystified that their scares don’t seem to be working. The old man isn’t seeming to buy what’s going on. Oddly, he just goes into his basement where he spends the whole night. Unfortunately, they didn’t install any hidden camera in the basement, so they have no idea what he’s doing down there. Things only end up getting worse from there, but to say much more would spoil the mystery.
