Anya Taylor-Joy and Mile Teller star in this genre-bending thriller from The Black Phone and Sinister director Scott Derrickson. Two elite snipers are assigned to opposing watch towers situated on either side of a massive gorge. Their task is simple, guard it to prevent whatever is at the bottom from coming out and don't communicate with each other. The Gorge released on Valentine's Day weekend and has become Apple's most-streamed movie ever.

Nosferatu
The latest movie from acclaimed filmmaker Robert Eggers is Nosferatu, a remake of the classic 1922 silent film. Bill Skarsgård plays the ominous and entrancing Count Orlok, who nurtures an obsession with Ellen Hutter (Lily Rose-Depp), the wife of his realtor Thomas Hutter (Nicholas Hoult).

The Substance
You cannot miss out on this Oscar-nominated horror movie from director Coralie Fargeat (Revenge). It's not often that horror gets attention from the Academy Awards and The Substance is more than deserving, as is star Demi Moore. When a former film star loses her job because of her age, she agrees to participate in an experimental medical procedure to regain her youth.

Longlegs
This 2024 serial killer has been praised as one of the most frightening and disturbing films since The Silence of the Lambs. Written and directed by Osgood Perkins (The Monkey), Longlegs finally made its streaming debut earlier this month and has quickly become a top-performing film on Hulu. Nicolas Cage is super freaky as the titular murderer and Maika Monroe is exceptional as FBI Agent Lee Harker. Lee is assigned to solve an unsolved serial killing, slowly realizing that the killer at the center might have an unnerving and personal connection to her life.

To Catch a Killer
To Catch a Killer is a slightly older film, released in 2023, but it is new to streaming this week as it was recently added to Netflix where it landed high on the streamer's Top 10 chart. Shailene Woodley stars as a young cop assigned to work a case with an FBI agent as they try to track down a murderer terrorizing Baltimore.

Elevation
A single father (Anthony Mackie) and a former scientist (Morena Baccarin) team up to kill dangerous monstrosities known as Reapers that originate in sinkholes and rose to the surface, exteriminating most of humanity.
