With 2024 quickly reaching an end, FX is preparing everyone for the release of one of its upcoming shows. We're talking about the highly anticipated sci-fi horror series Alien: Earth, and a thrilling new teaser trailer for the show just dropped. While only 42 seconds, this teaser gives us a chilling glimpse of the deadly Xenomorph, which Alien fans will recognize right away. You can check out the teaser above!
Not only does the teaser tease fans of what's to come in the series, but it also reveals a premiere window. We don't have an official release date just yet, but we do know it's coming in the summer of 2025. So that's anywhere between June 20, 2025, and Sept. 22, 2025. Hopefully, the show will receive an early summer release sometime in June or July. I'm sure I'm not the only one eager to see this new series, especially after watching the latest installment in the Alien franchise, Alien: Romulus.
Alien: Earth is created by Noah Hawley (Fargo, Legion). It's based on the Alien franchise and serves as a prequel to Alien (1979). The story is set in the year 2120. We follow a young woman and a team of hardened soldiers who stumble upon a shocking discovery on a mysterious spacecraft that crash-lands on Earth. What do they encounter? They come across humanity's greatest threat, the deadly alien species, Xenomorphs.
Sydney Chandler (Sugar, Don't Worry Darling) stars in the leading role of Wendy, the young woman leading the group of tactical soldiers. Alex Lawther, Timothy Olyphant, Essie Davis, Samuel Blenkin, Babou Ceesay, David Rysdahl, Adrian Edmondson, Adarsh Gourav, Jonathan Ajayi, Erana James, Lily Newmark, Diem Camille and Moe Bar-El are also in the cast.
Alien: Earth is set to crash-land on Hulu in summer 2025. While you wait for its arrival, you can check out Alien: Romulus, which is coming to Hulu on Nov. 21, 2024.
