The holidays just got cheerier for Terrifier fans. In addition to the Christmas horror movie Terrifier 3 now officially available to rent or purchase on digital and the upcoming planned physical release date on December 17, fans will soon be privy to an in-depth making-of documentary titled Art Attack! The Dissection of Terrifier 3.

According to a Variety exclusive, the doc will stream exclusively on Screambox, the streaming service owned by Terrifier 3 distributor Cineverse. No date is set yet, but the outlet reports it's planned for an early 2025 window. Art Attack! is directed by Gary Smart and John Campopiano.

For those who have been curious about how Terrifier 3 director Damien Leone and the special effects team managed to create some of the movie's most viscerally bloody kills, it sounds like this documentary will be the perfect watch for you as it is explicitly described as a peek into how the crew brought the film's most talked about moments to life. It will include some new behind-the-scenes footage along with interviews from the cast and crew, including Leone.

Cult Screenings UK are the producers behind this one and the company's previous credits include Pennywise: The Story of It, all about the legacy of Tim Curry's time as the titular clown in the 1990 miniseries based on Stephen King's popular novel.

Despite Terrifier 3 featuring Art terrorizing Miles County during the Christmas holidays, complete with him donning a Santa outfit for the bulk of the movie, it actually released this past October. It earned more than $87 million during its theatrical run. Considering Terrifier 3 is an independent horror movie, and an unrated one at that, its achievements cannot be understated. The movie was also critically well-received.

A fourth Terrifier movie has been confirmed with Leone noting that the franchise could go on to a fifth one, though he doesn't see it needing more than one or two more movies to complete the saga of Art the Clown. But there's no question that Art, played faithfully by David Howard Thornton in all three films, has become a modern slasher icon.

Those who enjoy these kinds of making-of documentaries should also turn to Shudder to watch the in-depth, five-hour Chucky documentary about all of the various Child's Play movies and iterations featuring cast members, crew, historians, and more. It's available now.

As for Terrifier 3, as of November 26, you can own the movie digitally and it will be released on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K UHD starting on December 17.
