This month, Peacock has already dropped several horror titles on its platform, including The Exorcist, Exorcist: The Beginning, Last Night in Soho, The Vatican Tapes and Pulse. Now, the streamer is set to add yet another chilling addition to its platform. A horror film that hit theaters earlier this year! It's the Blumhouse werewolf horror movie Wolf Man. It will reportedly make its way to Peacock on Friday, April 18, 2025.
Wolf Man was actually Blumhouse's first horror flick of the year. Since then, we've seen one other horror movie from the company be released in 2025, which was The Woman in the Yard. The werewolf horror comes from Leigh Whannell, who not only directed the film but also co-wrote the script with his wife Corbett Tuck. Whannell is best known for co-creating the Saw franchise with his friend James Wan. Some of his previous works that you might've watched are the horror movies Saw, Insidious, Insidious: Chapter 3, Upgrade and The Invisible Man. Tuck is known for her acting work, such as starring in Insidious: Chapter 3 in the role of Danielle.
Wolf Man is described as a modern retelling of the classic monster tale and a reboot of The Wolf Man horror film series. It stars Christopher Abbott (Kraven the Hunter, It Comes at Night) as Blake Lovell, a husband and father who inherits his secluded childhood home after the mysterious disappearance of his father. With his marriage on the rocks to his workaholic wife Charlotte, he manages to convince her to take a break from their hectic city life to vacation with their daughter at the rural Oregon property. However, this is when things take a left turn, as the family finds themselves encountering an unseen creature lurking in the darkness.
They manage to survive the brutal attack and lock themselves inside the house. However, soon after their arrival, Blake starts to experience disturbing changes to his body. He was injured in the animal attack, and his injury leads to a terrifying transformation. Emmy Award-winning actress Julia Garner joins Abbott in the cast, playing the role of Charlotte. Matilda Firth and Sam Jaeger also star, portraying the roles of Ginger and Grady.
After you finish watching Wolf Man, you should check out the other Blumhouse horror content streaming on Peacock, such as Five Nights at Freddy's, The Black Phone, The Invisible Man, Halloween Kills, Halloween Ends, Sick, Firestarter and The Forever Purge. Our top recommendations are the first three listed. Now those are some solid horror films!
Still to come in 2025 are the Blumhouse horror films Drop, M3GAN 2.0, Five Nights at Freddy's 2 and The Black Phone 2. Stay tuned to 1428 Elm for all the latest updates on these exciting releases!
