Santa’s sleigh is stained red once again! After more than a decade in the shadows, the cult-classic holiday horror franchise Silent Night, Deadly Night is making a bloody comeback, and it's bringing the chills just in time for Christmas. Titled Silent Night, Deadly Night, it's a remake of the beloved 1984 horror classic of the same name. Now, we have the first teaser trailer to sink our teeth into, and it doesn’t hold back at all!

During San Diego Comic-Con’s “Bold Voices of Contemporary Horror” panel, fans were surprised with a brutal first look at the upcoming slasher, revealing a darker, bloodier reimagining of the original horror tale. The teaser gives fans their first terrifying glimpse at Halloween Ends star Rohan Campbell as Billy, the traumatized young man turned murderous Santa. Check it out below!

Mike P. Nelson (V/H/S/85, Wrong Turn) wrote and directed Silent Night, Deadly Night with Bloody Disgusting producing and Cineverse distributing the film. It serves as the seventh installment in the franchise. The last film, Silent Night, was released in 2012 and was a loose remake of the original movie. Since it’s been a very long time since we’ve seen a new entry in this cult-classic series, anticipation is high among horror fans eager for a fresh take on the killer Santa saga.

Unlike the previous installments in the franchise, this new slasher is unrated, meaning you can expect more graphic violence, intense gore, and unfiltered horror content. According to Bloody Disgusting, the film's plot revolves around Billy Chapman, a traumatized man who, after witnessing his parents’ murder on Christmas Eve by someone dressed as Santa, grows up to become a killer Santa Claus. Every Christmas, he puts on the Santa suit and goes on a violent rampage, targeting people as part of his distorted idea of justice.

Joining Campbell in the cast are Ruby Modine as Pamela, Mark Acheson, David Lawrence Brown, and David Tomlinson. Are you ready to learn the film's official release date? If so, drum roll, please! Silent Night, Deadly Night is set to be released in U.S. theaters on Dec.12, 2025. Don't forget to save the date, as many movies are set to release around this time. Based on the teaser above, this killer Santa slasher is one holiday horror event you definitely won’t want to miss!
