Major spoilers ahead for Delicious on Netflix
Move over Saltburn, there's a new disturbing thriller about class conflicts that's grabbing attention due to its dark and depraved plot twists. Delicious recently started streaming on Netflix and the sinister film is making waves because of its sick ending.
Hailing from writer and director Nele Mueller-Stöfen, Delicious follows a wealthy German family on vacation who unknowingly become pawns in a sinister scheme after they try to help a mysterious young woman recover from an injury. The family includes husband and wife Esther (Valerie Pachner) and John (Fahri Yardim), and their two children Alba (Naila Schuberth) and Philipp (Caspar Hoffman).
One night, while driving, they get into an accident and notice their car has clipped a a young woman named Teodora (Carla Díaz). Teodora supposedly works as a maid at the villa where the family is staying and they take her in overnight to help her recover from an injury she received during the accident.
But viewers know from the start that Teodora is lying as a scene preceding the accident shows her and her friends orchestrating the ruse. They injure Teodora beforehand so she can trick the family into thinking they're responsible. Once Teodora infiltrates their lives, she makes it hard for them to get rid of her, slowly bonding with each family member before enacting her ultimate plan.

Esther and John's ultimate fate
Teodora slowly befriends Esther and introduces her to her friend Lucien (Julien De Saint Jean), with whom Esther starts having an affair. Esther is later invited to a party with Lucien, Teodora and their friends. At that party is when things really start to go awry.
There, Esther starts to feel uneasy when she learns that some of the people she's been hanging out with actually work at the hotel where she's been staying, including Lucien. It further showcases the divide between Esther and the working class, that she was so oblivious to the staff she didn't even recognize Lucien from the hotel.
She starts getting weirded out and excuses herself to a restroom where blood bubbles up from the sink drain and splatters in her face. Now seriously disturbed, Esther rushes out of the bathroom and opens a random door to find a woman hunched over a dead man, eating chunks of flesh from his leg.
When she tries to leave, Teodora stops her from leaving and reveals the truth: She was never working as their maid, and she isn't Esther's friend. Teodora's long scheme is unveiled in flashback and then Lucien comes forward and takes the first bite out of Esther as the others join in, indicating that they kill and eat her.
As for John, he meets a similar fate later that night. After the party, Teodora and the others go back to the villa and have an impromptu late-night pool party. John wakes up and asks them to quiet down, but they don't listen, so then his fling, the family friend Cora (because, of course, he's having an affair, too), intervenes to throw them out.
Well, we don't see exactly what happens to Cora but it's implied she gets killed and eaten just like John. Teodora and the others follow him into the house and hit him over the head with a gardening tool.
Philipp eats his mom
Yes, that is genuinely what happens in the movie. The second-to-last scene shows Philipp heating up a hunk of meat left out on the counter. Then he takes his fork and eats several bites from it, only to pause when he realizes there's something in his mouth...his mother's wedding ring.
We know it's hers because there was a scene earlier in the movie where Esther and John discuss their rings and the special inscriptions on them. Teodora leaves some of Esther behind in the fridge, likely knowing Philipp or Alba would accidentally eat it.
What does Teodora plan to do with Alba?
One of the only main family members who doesn't meet a gross or tragic fate is the youngest daughter, Alba. The very last scene of the film shows Teodora and her friends on motorcycles and we see Alba on the back of Teodora's.
Throughout the movie, Teodora showed genuine kindness toward Alba and appeared to be open to letting her in on her way of life as she doesn't even hide it when she steals from Esther and does other things. Almost like she's testing Alba to see how much she'd accept. The ending suggests that Alba will now become part of Teodora's group and potentially even turn into a cannibal like them.
