It's an exciting time to be a fan of the Alien and Predator franchises. This year alone, we're getting the first Alien television series and two brand-new Predator movies. Prey director Dan Trachtenberg returns to direct Predator: Badlands starring Elle Fanning, and it was recently revealed that the second "secret" Predator movie is another movie from Trachtenberg titled Predator: Killer of Killers, an animated anthology film.
Killer of Killers becomes the sixth movie in the main Predator franchise. Trachtenberg directed and co-wrote the film with Micho Robert Rutare based on characters created by John Thomas and James Thomas.
The new movie has an exciting premise, one fans have been interested in for a long time. It follows different warriors across various time periods, each one fighting a unique monstrosity. The characters feature a ninja in feudal Japan, a Viking raider guiding her son, and a World War II pilot.
"But while all these warriors are killers in their own right, they are merely prey for their new opponent — the ultimate killer of killers," shares the official logline from the Walt Disney Company.
The first look at the upcoming film looks fantastic, with plenty of gory spectacle. Going the animated route is the right move for the film, as it allows for some cool sequences we might not have gotten to see otherwise.

Badlands won't be released until November 7 and will be released theatrically. The film stars Fanning as a character named Thia, who discovers a surprising ally in a young Predator outcast.
During CinemaCon, Fanning teased that Badlands is an "unprecedented" story for the franchise since her human character "is not the one being chased." It sounds like, for once, the human character will be assisting the Predator.
20th Century Studios hasn't shared the Badlands trailer yet, but The Hollywood Reporter revealed some tidbits from the event, like Fanning's character in the trailer saying, "You’re hunting something that can’t be killed.”
Predator: Killer of Killers will be released on Hulu and Disney+ on June 6.
