Attention all horror fans! We’ve got some exciting news to share. Netflix has just announced a release window for Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein movie. It’s set to hit the streaming platform this fall, with a release scheduled for November!

Unfortunately, the exact release date in November remains unclear. Of course, we’re hoping it drops earlier in the month rather than later, but we’ll have to wait for an official announcement. Regardless of when it arrives, the anticipation is building for Guillermo del Toro’s take on Frankenstein, and it’s sure to be worth the wait. Along with announcing the release window, Netflix also shared a new photo from the movie. It's an image of Oscar Isaac as Victor Frankenstein, the intelligent scientist who brings the infamous creature to life. You can check out the photo above.

Guillermo del Toro not only directed this gothic sci-fi horror film, but he also wrote the screenplay. It's based on Mary Shelley’s beloved 1818 novel Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus. The film tells the story of a young scientist who, through his experiments, creates a monstrous creature. However, this creation leads to negative consequences and ultimately brings about the downfall of both the scientist and the creature itself.

As mentioned earlier, Oscar Isaac (Moon Knight) stars in the leading role of the brilliant scientist. Euphoria's Jacob Elordi plays Frankenstein's monster, aka Victor's monstrous creation. Additionally, the cast is made up of Mia Goth, Christoph Waltz, Felix Kammerer, Lars Mikkelsen, David Bradley, Christian Convery, Charles Dance, and Ralph Ineson.

This isn't Guillermo del Toro's first horror project at Netflix. He previously collaborated with the streamer on a horror anthology miniseries, Cabinet of Curiosities, which was an amazing show. We have high hopes that his Frankenstein movie will live up to the same level of excellence.

In addition to the official release date, we’re still waiting for the trailer. Given that the movie’s release is quite a ways off, we don’t expect the trailer to drop anytime soon. However, you can count on us to share these juicy deets once Netflix announces them. But for now, you'll have to stay tuned to 1428 Elm!
