I guess Halsey and Ti West had such a great time working together on this year's horror film MaXXXine that they've decided to collaborate again!

According to a Variety exclusive, the singer-songwriter is developing a dark comedy series titled Bloodlust for Amazon Prime Video, on which she will serve as creator, writer, and executive producer. West is attached to direct and executive produce as well. Halsey will not star in this project.

Bloodlust has reportedly been in the works for a while but is now moving forward. Apart from Halsey and West, Bloodlust will also be executive produced by Halsey's manager, Anthony Li, and Mark Friedman (Severance). Friedman is onboard as the showrunner. There aren't any plot details to share at this time.

Halsey was a fun part of MaXXXine, playing the role of Maxine's friend and fellow adult entertainer Tabby Martin. It would have been cool to see her star in Bloodlust but it's just as exciting to see what she's going to bring to the table as a television creator. Outside of MaXXXine, she's done several voice roles for projects like Sing 2, American Dad, and Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?. The singer previously made cameo appearances in A Star is Born and the short-lived Showtime series Roadies.

In 2023, Halsey starred in the crime thriller film Americana by director Tony Tost alongside Sydney Sweeney, Paul Walter Hauser, Eric Dane, Simon Rex, and more. She is supposed to be re-teaming with Sweeney for The Player's Table, based on Jessica Goodman's novel They Wish They Were Us. That project was announced back in 2020 for HBO, but there haven't been any updates in a long time.

West's film MaXXXine was released as the third and final film in the X trilogy started in 2022 starring Mia Goth in multiple roles. While the director has stated he has an idea for a potential fourth film, his most recent comments on the film series indicate that he's happy with how MaXXXine ends and ready to move onto something new, though he says he'd love to work with Goth again.
