The Amityville Horror – In the original 1979 film, James Brolin and Margot Kidder portray George and Kathy Lutz, a couple who buy the now iconic house on Ocean Avenue. Very quickly, the house begins to show signs of hostile supernatural activity, leaving George, Kathy and their three children in danger.
The Amityville Horror (2005) – In this remake/reboot, Ryan Reynolds and Melissa George play the Lutzes. Some of the storyline is the same as the original film, but there are also some events that differ.
The Boogeyman – Another solid Stephen King adaptation, The Boogeyman is about therapist Will, who has lost his wife in a car accident. Trying to navigate his grief while raising his two daughters, he encounters a patient named Lester who has experienced his own series of losses. After only one session with Lester, a frightening series of events begins to affect Will and his daughters.
