Joe Goldberg is ready to cause chaos one last time in You season 5, arriving on Netflix this April. To get fans excited for the show's return, the streamer has released a new photo and dropped a teaser trailer for the upcoming season. You can check out the image above.
You season 5 is the final installment of the popular thriller series. Like previous seasons, the fifth season consists of 10 episodes. Fortunately, we don't have to worry about the new season being split into parts as all 10 episodes will be released at once on the release date. Netflix has already announced when You season 5 will come out. You can expect the thriller series to make its return with its final season on Thursday, April 24, 2025.
In You season 5, Joe leaves London behind and returns to New York, with his girlfriend Kate by his side. Kate is fully aware of Joe's dark past and murderous tendencies, and in fact, she played a role in helping him cover up his dirty deeds. Convinced he's been given a clean slate, Joe hopes for a fresh new beginning. But as his past catches up with him, he’ll soon discover that starting fresh is far harder than he imagined.
As you can see in the teaser trailer above, Penn Badgley returns to play Joe Goldberg. But why is Joe trapped in a cage? It looks like a similar cage to the one in which we've seen him trap several of his victims. Could he finally be facing the consequences of his actions? Could the cage represent Joe’s unavoidable downfall? While we don’t have all the answers just yet, one thing’s for sure—Joe remains as creepy as ever in this teaser!
Also joining Badgley in the You season 5 cast are Charlotte Ritchie, Madeline Brewer, Griffin Matthews, Anna Camp, Natasha Behnam, b, Pete Ploszek, Tom Francis, and Nava Mau.
Alright. Can April get here sooner? We’re eager to see how Joe’s journey ends in the final season. We're also wondering if any familiar faces from past seasons will make surprise cameos. Maybe a cameo from Joe's ex-wife, Love, or maybe his ex-girlfriend, Beck? We know they're both dead, but that didn't stop them from appearing in previous seasons as hallucinations.
From the teasers we've seen so far, it looks like we're in for a wild ride, and we can't wait to binge all the new episodes!
