Looking for a hot new horror movie to watch tonight? Well, we have some good news for you: M3GAN 2.0 is available to watch exclusively on digital platforms as of July 15! The highly-anticipated sequel opened in theaters only two and a half weeks ago, and now you can watch it in the comfort of your own home by renting or purchasing a digital copy.
If you prefer to own physical media, M3GAN 2.0 will be released on 4K UHD and Blue-ray on September 23. Purchase from participating digital retailers (including Fandango at Home, Apple TV, Cox, Comcast Xfinity and Microsoft Movies and TV) to get more than 30 minutes of exclusive bonus features.
In the first film, we saw M3GAN's creation by Gemma, who unexpectedly ended up as the caregiver for her young niece Cady after Cady's parents were killed in a car accident. In order to demonstrate M3GAN's capabilities, she was synced with Cady, thus proving that the extremely lifelike doll would be a suitable companion for kids. Unfortunately, it all went awry when M3GAN's true colors emerged, and she went all murderous.
In M3GAN 2.0, our favorite AI diva is given a reboot that makes her even more deadly than before, all in the hopes of conquering AMELIA, a new android created specifically as an assassin. It seems AMELIA developed self-awareness, and escaped from her creator.
Allison Williams (Get Out) returns as M3GAN’s creator Gemma, Violet McGraw (The Haunting of Hill House) is back as Cady, who M3GAN will do anything to protect, and Amie Donald (Sweet Tooth) again lends her physicality to the title role. Ivanna Sakhno (Pacific Rim Uprising) is AMELIA.
