It’s been a busy few days for Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights! The event has been posting on their social media accounts like crazy recently, with new house theme announcements and more coming up almost daily.
So, let’s talk about what kind of event this year’s Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando is shaping up to be. Obviously, it’s going to include plenty of houses and scare zones, along with killer merch and food/beverage options. But what themes are we looking at?
First of all, the overall theme for Halloween Horror Nights in 2025 is The Conservatory. As the HHN team announced at the Spooky Empire horror convention in Orlando last weekend, the theme will be present throughout the park, evidenced by the use of gargoyles, vines, stained glass – just an overall gothic look. Some of the merchandise available will also reflect that theme.
We know that Five Nights at Freddy’s will be represented, and most people believe it will actually be a haunted house. But it could also be the theme for one of the Scare Zones, so we will have to wait and see on that one.

Five haunted house themes have been officially announced
The newest original house theme, which was announced on June 25 is Dolls: Let’s Play Dead. In its twitter post, HHN quoted: “You’re about to become doll-sized and be hunted by toys that have been burnt, melded and stitched together by a twisted little girl.” **Note: If you are not following @HorrorNightsORL on Twitter/X, what are you even doing with your life?
Prior to that, two original houses were announced, El Artista: A Spanish Haunting and Hatchet and Chains: Demon Bounty Hunters.
Amazon Prime series Fallout is getting the haunted house treatment, as is the fan-favorite Friday the 13th franchise, via the Jason Universe house.

Photos of some of the themed merchandise (which can now be purchased online) were dropped as well, including a shirt and a coffee mug with the Jason Universe logo, and a Conservatory-themed frame.

Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando opens for business on August 29, or guests can purchase a limited availability ticket for Premium Scream Night, which will be held on August 28. The event runs through November 2, and tickets can be purchased online. There are a variety of ticket and add-on options available, from one night tickets, to Express Passes, to the very popular RIP tours, so plan accordingly.
