One of the highest-grossing horror movies of 2024 is now streaming on Max

One of 2024's top-grossing horror movies has just dropped on Max, bringing edge-of-your-seat suspense and a gripping storyline straight to your screen. We're talking about M. Night Shyamalan's Trap starring Josh Hartnett. After being released in theaters back in August and ultimately grossing a worldwide total of $82.7 million at the box office, Trap has finally made its streaming debut, just in time for Halloween.

When watching Trap from the comfort of your home, get ready to be taken on a heart-pounding journey filled with twists and turns. This movie was written, helmed, and produced by M. Night Shyamalan, who is known for being the creative behind films such as The Sixth Sense, After Earth, Split, Glass, Old and Knock at the Cabin.

Hartnett stars as Cooper Abbott in the horror film, a firefighter living a secret double life as a gruesome serial killer known as "The Butcher." When Cooper decides to take his young daughter, Riley, to the concert of her favorite singer, he has no idea that he's in the middle of a sting operation. After learning that The Butcher is in attendance at the concert, the authorities swarm the venue to take him down. Cooper eventually finds out what's going on, and now he must do everything he can to evade capture.

Hartnett is no newcomer to the horror world. He has starred in other horror flicks in the past, such as Halloween H20: 20 Years Later, 30 Days of Night, The Faculty and Wicker Park. Young Australian actress Ariel Donoghue joins him in the cast, playing Riley. She's best known for starring as Emma in the Peacock comedy-drama series Wolf Like Me. Saleka Shyamalan, Hayley Mills, Alison Pill, Marnie McPhail, Vanessa Smythe, and many others are also in the cast.
