NEON is offering a great opportunity to horror fans who love the films of Osgood Perkins. For one night only, and in selected theaters, three of Perkins’ unique and scary movies will be shown for the price of one ticket.

Perkins began his writing and directing career with 2015’s The Blackcoat’s Daughter. He is also responsible for I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House (2016) and 2020’s Gretel & Hansel.

But he also did some acting prior to branching out into directing. He first appeared in 1983’s Psycho II as a child version of Norman Bates, which was fitting since he is actor Anthony Perkins’ son, and Anthony played Bates in the original (and iconic) Psycho.

He would later appear in many films, including Six Degrees of Separation, Legally Blonde, Not Another Teen Movie, 2009’s Star Trek and Nope. While he does still occasionally act, Perkins seems to have found his niche writing and directing horror movies.

Which of Osgood Perkins’ films will be shown together in November?

On November 13th, Osgood Perkins’ most recent films will be shown at select theaters as a triple feature, and those films will be:

Longlegs – A young FBI agent named Lee (Maika Monroe) investigates an unsolved serial killer case that turns out to be much closer to home than she expected. The killer is played by Nicolas Cage, and Alicia Witt gives an intense, spot-on performance as Lee’s troubled mother.

The Monkey – In this adaptation of a Stephen King story, estranged twin brothers encountered a cursed monkey toy when they were kids. As adults, the toy continues to haunt them, causing death and destruction.

Keeper – Perkins’ newest film actually releases on November 14, but you can see it the day before as part of the triple feature. “A wife becomes isolated in a secluded cabin and has to fend off an unspeakable evil.”
