A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead video game is headed to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in 2024
While everyone is gearing up for easily the most anticipated theatrical release of June 2024, aka A Quiet Place: Day One, the trailer for the video game adaptation set in the same world has just dropped. The game is titled A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead, and it's slated to be released on PC and gaming consoles later this year.
We first learned of a Quiet Place video game back in 2021 when it was announced that Saber Interactive, the same video game developer and publisher behind games such as Evil Dead: The Game and World War Z, would be in charge of it. It was revealed to be a “single-player, story-driven horror adventure game” based on John Krasinski's Quiet Place film franchise, with an expected release in 2022. However, the release ended up being pushed back to this year. Saber Interactive is the publisher of the game while Stormind Games serves as developer.
Serving as the first official video game set in the A Quiet Place universe, A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is a first-person, single-player game telling a brand new story. It centers around a young woman struggling to survive and adapt to a world invaded by alien creatures with ultrasonic hearing. While also struggling with interpersonal family conflicts and her own inner fears, the young woman must use her wits and whatever is at her disposal to overcome the many challenges and obstacles that are thrown her way.
Check out the exciting official trailer below to get pumped up for its release!
Like in the movies, the smallest sound can spell disaster in the horror game, so it's important to try to avoid noise at all costs while scavenging for supplies and hiding and sneaking past the horrific creatures. After looking at the trailer, we can already tell that players will definitely be in for a wild ride!
A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is set to be released on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and the Xbox Series X|S sometime in 2024. We'll get back to you with the official release date once it's announced, but for now, make sure to buy tickets to see A Quiet Place: Day One, coming to theaters on June 28.
