A Quiet Place: Day One is now in theaters, and it's all everyone can seem to talk about at the moment. Honestly, this isn't surprising, seeing as though it stars two amazing actors: Academy Award-winning actress Lupita Nyong'o and Stranger Things breakout star Joseph Quinn. I saw this movie for myself this past weekend, and I'd definitely say the hype surrounding it is warranted. It's a pretty solid film that'll have you experiencing several different emotions throughout. Overall, I highly recommend seeing it in theaters if you haven't already.

If you didn't know, A Quiet Place: Day One is part of a film series consisting of three movies. The other two films in the series are A Quiet Place and A Quiet Place Part II. All three movies center around humans trying to survive an alien invasion, with A Quiet Place: Day One telling the story of when the aliens first landed on Earth.

Now that I've watched all three films, I thought, what better time than now to rank them from worst to best? If you're curious to know where each movie falls in my ranking, make sure to keep on reading.

3. A Quiet Place Part II

Wait! Don't judge me just yet. Truthfully, I enjoyed all three Quiet Place movies, but this is a ranking, and one has to be ranked in the worst spot. When compared to the other two movies, A Quiet Place Part II falls short in some areas and that's why it's ranked where it's at.

In my opinion, this movie seemed way too predictable and similar to the first film. While there were a lot of tense moments that'll keep you on the edge of your seat, this movie doesn't seem to offer anything new. Also, there were way too many drawn-out scenes that I felt needed to be wrapped up in order to keep my attention. However, I will say that the acting was on point. But can you really be surprised when you have talented actors such as Emily Blunt, Cillian Murphy, Djimon Hounsou, and Scoot McNairy in the cast?

Serving as a sequel to A Quiet Place, A Quiet Place Part II follows the remaining Abbott family members as they continue their fight for survival in silence. While venturing into the unknown, they soon discover that the blind alien creatures with an acute sense of hearing aren't the only threats they face.

2. A Quiet Place

A Quiet Place introduced viewers to the unnerving and terrifying post-apocalyptic world inhabited by blind alien creatures. It's a frightening and suspenseful movie, and it constantly ratcheted up the tension. I was so used to seeing the same type of horror movie again and again, but with A Quiet Place, it was something completely different. It was unique, telling a story with a whole new concept. Additionally, the strong performances from the cast made the film even more enjoyable to watch.

A Quiet Place follows the Abbott family as they struggle to survive and navigate a post-apocalyptic world invaded by alien creatures with ultra-sensitive hearing. The film stars John Krasinski, Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe, and Cade Woodward.

1. A Quiet Place: Day One

After watching A Quiet Place Part II and not being blown away by it, I didn't know what to expect from A Quiet Place: Day One. However, the casting of Lupita and Joseph is what brought me back, and they did not disappoint at all. If you thought the other films were intense and emotional, be prepared for this one. I left the theater bawling my eyes out after watching it. The main characters are very likable, and you're constantly rooting for them even though you know their survival chances are low. And we can't forget the addition of Frodo the cat. He was truly a scene-stealer!

Serving as a prequel, the horror film takes viewers back to the very first day that the extraterrestrial creatures with ultra-sensitive hearing arrived on Earth. We follow Sam, a terminally ill cancer patient, who bands together with a law student named Eric to survive the alien invasion.

A Quiet Place: Day One is a very suspenseful movie, with a good mix of jump scares and slow, intense scares. Also, I absolutely must applaud Lupita and Joseph, who gave outstanding performances as Sam and Eric. They have great chemistry, and now I'm hoping that they star together again in a new movie. Preferably a rom-com. Who do I have to call to make this happen? Seriously!

Overall, A Quiet Place: Day One is an incredible addition to the Quiet Place franchise, and it will have you excited about the upcoming third and final sequel, A Quiet Place Part III.
