Note: Some of the Halloween movies we're about to list aren't on Netflix at the time of writing. However, they will be released in time for Halloween. That's why we still decided to include them on the list.

Halloween (2018)

Halloween is one of the best Halloween movies that's already streaming on Netflix. It's a direct sequel to John Carpenter's 1978 film of the same name and sees Jamie Lee Curtis reprise her iconic role as Laurie Strode.

Taking place 40 years after the original film, Laurie still struggles with the traumatic experience she went through with masked killer Michael Myers. Michael had been institutionalized at a mental hospital all this time but managed to escape during a bus transfer to a maximum-security prison.

He then heads straight back to Haddonfield to continue his killing spree. However, unknown to Michael, Laurie has been preparing for his return, and on Halloween night, she has her final showdown with the masked killer.

It Chapter Two (2019)

Serving as a sequel to the hit supernatural horror film It, It Chapter Two picks up 27 years after the events of the first movie. The Losers Club members are all adults now and have moved on with their lives after encountering the shape-shifting, evil entity Pennywise when they were kids.

But when Pennywise makes his return to Derry and starts terrorizing the town again, it's up to the Losers Club to confront and put a stop to the ancient evil once and for all. You can stream this Halloween movie on Netflix right now.

Evil Dead Rise (2023)

Evil Dead Rise is hands down one of the best installments in the Evil Dead horror franchise, and it's streaming on Netflix right now. In this installment, the story moves away from a remote cabin, which is the typical setting for Evil Dead films, to a rundown apartment building. We follow two estranged sisters who find themselves and their family fighting for their lives when flesh-possessing demons are unleashed in their apartment complex.

It's What's Inside (2024)

It's What's Inside is set to be released on Netflix on Oct. 4. It's a comedy-horror flick following a group of college friends who reunite for a pre-wedding party only for the night to devolve into existential chaos when they begin playing with a mysterious body-swapping machine. The cast is made up of Brittany O'Grady, James Morosini, Gavin Leatherwood, Nina Bloomgarden, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Reina Hardesty, Devon Terrell, David W. Thompson, and Madison Davenport.

Scream (2022)

Scream, often referred to as Scream 5, introduced viewers to a new generation of characters being terrorized by the infamous Ghostface killer. The film takes place 25 years after the events of Scream (1996), and centers around a new group of teenagers being targeted by a new Ghostface killer in the quiet town of Woodsboro.

Melissa Barrera, Mason Gooding, Jenna Ortega, Jack Quaid, Marley Shelton, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Neve Campbell, and others make up the cast. Scream will be available to stream on Netflix on Oct. 11.

Wendell & Wild (2022)

Wendell & Wild has to be one of the most visually stunning stop-motion-animated films ever made. It centers around two mischievous demon brothers, Wendell and Wild, who dream of escaping from the underworld to live in the land of the living, where they can build their own amusement park.

The opportunity to make their wish come true comes when they cross paths with goth teen Kat Elliott. But when they find out what Kat wants in return for her help, the demon brothers realize that making their dream come true won't be easy. Wendell & Wild is already available to watch on Netflix.

Ouija: Origin of Evil (2016)

Ouija: Origin of Evil is a supernatural horror film currently streaming on Netflix. It serves as a prequel to Ouija (2014) and takes place in 1967 Los Angeles. The story follows a widowed mother and her two daughters who run a fraudulent séance business.

When the mother decides to incorporate an Ouija board into her readings to enhance their scam, she unknowingly invites an evil spirit into their home that ends up possessing the youngest daughter. Now, the mother must do everything she can to save her before it's too late.
