Caroline Williams gifting us with He Sees You When You're Sleeping role

A horror legend is joining the upcoming Horror Collective Christmas killer flick He Sees You When You're Sleeping: Caroline Williams! Fangoria reports that she'll play Aunt Marion in the 1980s-set film about a family holiday get together going terribly wrong when a Santa suit-wearing killer shows up and starts giving the gift of murder.
Not long after starting to get acting gigs in the mid 1980s, Williams became horror royalty by starring as Stretch in Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2. In addition to a cameo in the franchise's third installment, the actress also appeared in Stepfather II, Leprechaun 3, Rob Zombie's Halloween II and Hatchet III. In just the past four years Williams has appeared in eight projects including Renfield. Outside of the genre, Williams also starred alongside Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman, Robert Duvall, Cary Elwes and Michael Rooker in the 1990 Tony Scott racing flick Days Of Thunder.
He Sees You When You're Sleeping comes from writer David Lenik and director Charlie Steeds. Lenik is more known as an actor with this script in the works along with Arctic's Edge and Folklore. Lenik and Steeds have collaborated many times with the actor performing in the director's Winterskin, An English Haunting and Freeze.
“I knew David Lenik’s campy Christmas-themed slasher would be a blast to direct," Steeds told Fangoria. It’s set in the ’80s and we filmed on location in New York State. The script draws inspiration from horror classics such as Black Christmas, Scream and Silent Night, Deadly Night, which are all films I adore.”
Lenik will also star in He Sees You When You're Sleeping alongside Williams and a number of other familiar face like Nicholas Vince who played Chatterer and Kinski in Hellraiser and Nightbreed respectively as well as Lauren-Marie Taylor, Vickie in Friday The 13th Part 2. Tom Malloy, Peyton Michelle Edwards, Scott Bolger, Scot Scurlock and Reagan Kelly round out the cast.
The film's IMDb page expands on the plot, explaining that Lenik portrays Chester Van Buren, a young man whose parents were killed by a killer Santa Claus 17 years prior. On Christmas Eve in 1980, he returns to his family home, a creepy old mansion that has seen better days and is filled with his dysfunctional relatives including Williams, Kelly, Scurlock and Bolger. An already awkward situation is made even more uncomfortable when the murderer returns and starts opening them up like Christmas presents.
According to the group's site, The Horror Collective strives " to foster a community of independent horror filmmakers and connect their films to fans, all done transparently and fairly." Some of the films it has helped shepherd along include the upcoming Silence Of The Prey and Dagr as well as the recently released Ghosts Of The Void, Summoning Sylvia and #ChadGetsTheAxe.
As of now, we don't have any release details, but it seems likely that everyone involved is aiming for a winter unwrapping for He Sees You When You're Sleeping.
