Two new castings have been announced for the upcoming indie horror flick The Necklace. They are actresses Christina Moore and Brynne Kurland. More on this film and these castings below.

The Necklace is an ESX Entertainment produced horror movie from Chilean director and writer Juan Pablo Arias Munoz. He's best known for making his feature debut with the thriller flick Pumpkinhole, which can currently be streamed on Tubi for free or rented or purchased through Amazon Prime Video. He directs from a screenplay written by John Ducey. You might know Ducey from his work on the Netflix romantic comedy That's Amor. He wrote the script for that movie.

The Necklace follows the Davis family as they navigate through tough times in the '60s. After separating from her ill-tempered and alcoholic husband Frank, Laura Davis returns to work as a nurse. Her young daughters, 11-year-old Ellen and 16-year-old Judy, find themselves having to work through this significant change in their lives. But things quickly take a left turn when Frank returns and attempts to win Laura back by unknowingly gifting her a cursed antique necklace, ultimately putting their lives in grave danger.

Canadian actress Sarah Lind (A Wounded Fawn) stars in the leading role of Laura Davis, while Violet McGraw (The Haunting of Hill House, M3GAN) plays the role of Ellen, and Madeleine McGraw (The Black Phone) portrays Judy. Joining them in the cast are Ozark's Felix Solis and The Black Phone's Jacob Moran. Solis plays the role of Detective Callahan, while Moran's role is still undisclosed.

Now, we've just learned that talented actress Christina Moore and newcomer Brynne Kurland also star in the film. Moore is best known for her previous roles in the TV shows That '70s Show, 90210, True Blood, Jessie, Hawthorne and Claws. She was also a recurring cast member on the sketch comedy Mad TV. She will play a character named Ruth in the horror flick. Ruth desperately wants to conceive a child, so she seeks help from a midwife and practices witchcraft. She ends up conceiving a child while wearing the cursed necklace, "but not without paying the ultimate price."

It's unknown who Kurland portrays in the film, but you might recognize her from her previous roles in the Christmas movies A Christmas Mystery, Holiday Harmony and Holiday in the Vineyards.

Moore is also a producer on the film and is joined by Daniel Aspromonte. Executive producers include Violet McGraw, Madeleine McGraw, Jackie McGraw, and ESX Entertainment’s Ali Afshar. Production began in late May 2024 in Atlanta, Georgia, and is still currently in progress.

Violet McGraw shared several photos on her Instagram of her and her co-stars on set of the new film. Check them out below!
