The upcoming indie thriller Clawfoot finally has a release date. Vertical has set a theatrical release on July 19, 2024, after acquiring U.S. distribution rights to the movie. We shared more about this film below.

Clawfoot comes from Yale Entertainment. Michael Day (The Kill Room) helmed the film from a screenplay written by April Wolfe (Blumhouse’s Black Christmas). He also produced the movie alongside Jordan Yale Levine and Jordan Beckerman of Yale Entertainment. Additionally, Lee Broda, Kade Thomas, Colby Cote, Jim Thomas, Teresa Thomas, Jeffrey Tussi, David Nazar, Patrick Heaphy, Jason Kringstein, Scott Levenson, Will Hirschfeld, and Nicholas Donnermeyer are signed on as executive producers.

Here's what Levine and Beckerman had to say about reteaming with Vertical on this new movie via Deadline:

"We're thrilled to be working with the Vertical team again—our third film with them in the past year. April Wolfe’s script is so clever and we knew immediately we had to make it. Mike [Day] is someone we had worked with and is super-talented, but we were totally blown away with what he accomplished in his debut film. It’s a wild ride with some really great surprises!"

The thriller stars Francesca Eastwood as Janet, an upper-class suburban housewife who teams up with her BFF to take down the manipulative contractor who is psychologically terrorizing her. Eastwood is the daughter of actor and director Clint Eastwood. She's best known for starring in the movies Jersey Boys, Final Girl, Outlaws and Angels, M.F.A and The Vault. Her most recent role was playing Madrid in the thriller film Old. Besides Clawfoot, we'll see her next in an upcoming sports drama film called Queen of the Ring.

Joining Eastwood in the cast are Milo Gibson (Hacksaw Ridge) as the manipulative contractor Leo and Olivia Culpo (I Feel Pretty) as Tasha, Janet's best friend. Néstor Carbonell (The Morning Show) and Oliver Cooper (Project X) also star in the respective roles of Evan and Samuel.
