With the prices of streaming services rising, it's always nice to know there are plenty of free services where you can still enjoy your favorite horror movies without paying a premium. Plex and Tubi are some of the best, and each boasts a robust library of titles. This July, Plex is adding films like the cult classic American Psycho, Evil Dead II, and the original Ju-On: The Grudge.

American Psycho (2000)

Tune in to the cult classic film based on the Brett Easton Ellis novel of the same name. Set in the late 1980s, American Psycho satirizes the yuppie culture of the time, chronicling the horrific double life of Patrick Bateman, an urban professional who also happens to be a terrifying serial killer.

Evil Dead II (1987)

Sam Raimi's excellent follow-up to his 1981 film, Evil Dead II is one of the best horror comedies of all time. It's a tad unconventional in that it functions as both a remake and sequel to the first film. Once again, Ash Williams (Bruce Willis) finds himself in a creepy remote cabin in the woods where he unleashes a demonic horde after reciting passages from the fabled Necromonicon.

Ju-On: The Grudge (2002)

If you're familiar with the American film starring Sarah Michelle Gellar released in 2004, then you owe it to yourself to check out the original Japanese film that helped kick off the trend of American adaptations.

Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark (2019)

A greater starter horror movie for anyone looking to dip their toes into the genre, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark is based on Alvin Schwartz's iconic book series of the same name. Many of us have fond memories of renting Schwartz's books from the library and reading them under the covers as kids. The film follows a group of teens who stumble upon a book of horror stories one Halloween and are horrified when the monsters inside begin coming to life.
