News is beginning to trickle in about what we can expect from the television side of things this Halloween season! During the Family Guy panel at the recent San Diego Comic Con, Twisters star Glen Powell was announced as a guest star for the upcoming Halloween special of the long-running animated sitcom.

The episode, which will air exclusively on Hulu on October 14, follows Peter trying to win the town's annual Pumpkin Contest. Powell will voice a character named Patrick McCloskey, reports Variety. McCloskey is Quahog's reigning Pumpkin Contest champ, so Peter and his friends will have to pull out all the stops to best him.

Fox previously revealed that two holiday specials are in the works for this fall, as Family Guy won't actually return for its 23rd season until midseason, a first for the sitcom, which is usually a staple in the network's fall lineup. The Halloween episode, and an additional Christmas episode that will be released afterward, are meant to tide fans over until the series returns in early 2025.

Besides Powell, esteemed English actor Derek Jacobi will also guest star in the Halloween special as the voice of Stewie's teddy bear, Rupert.

Powell is one of the biggest rising stars in Hollywood right now. He is currently starring in one of the biggest box office successes of the year, Twisters, and the buzzy Netflix film Hit Man. His previous credits include other popular movies like Top Gun: Maverick and Anyone But You. The 35-year-old actor has also done voice work in the past on shows such as Rick & Morty, Jurassic World: Cramp Cretaceous, and Robot Chicken.
