One of our favorite scream queens will be back on our screens very soon! We're talking about Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning actress Sarah Paulson. She's set to star in a new Hulu psychological horror-thriller film called Hold Your Breath, and the gripping official trailer has just dropped. Check it out below!

Originally titled Dust, Hold Your Breath is a horror film co-directed by Karrie Crouse and Will Joines from a script Crouse wrote in the Sundance Institute Writer's Lab. They make their feature directorial debut with this movie. Crouse and Joines had previously worked together on the 2017 sci-fi short film Propagation.

Set during the dust storms of 1930s Oklahoma, we follow a concerned mother named Margaret, who becomes convinced that a sinister force in dust storms is stalking her family. Paulson stars in the leading role of Margaret. You might recognize her from the various roles she played in nine seasons of Ryan Murphy's horror anthology series American Horror Story. She also starred as Nurse Ratched in the short-lived Netflix psychological thriller series Ratched.

Additionally, she starred as Linda Tripp in Impeachment: American Crime Story, the third season of the true crime anthology series American Crime Story. Joining Paulson in the Hold Your Breath cast are Annaleigh Ashford (Welcome to Chippendales), Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Bear), Bill Heck (Locke & Key), Amiah Miller (My Best Friend’s Exorcism), and Alona Jane Robbins (Law & Order).

There's no doubt in our minds that Hold Your Breath will be a hit. With Paulson starring and an interesting enough premise, we can definitely see this movie being the talk of the town once it drops on Hulu on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024. Yes, it'll be released just in time for Halloween, so don't forget to add this film to your watchlist!
