Here's how to watch the Apple TV+ adaptation of Blake Crouch's popular sci-fi novel Dark Matter

The first two episodes premiere on May 8, followed by new episodes every Wednesday.

Joel Edgerton takes on a dynamic new role in Dark Matter, the new science fiction thriller series on Apple TV+ based on Blake Crouch's popular novel of the same name. Crouch also serves as creator, showrunner, writer, and executive producer on the series.

The mind-bending show is set in a world where alternate realities are a possibility. One man, a physicist named Jason Dessen (Edgerton) finds himself forcibly removed from his life with his wife (Jennifer Connelly) and son. Shoved into a different reality. He must do whatever it takes to get back to his own timeline and prevent the alternate version of himself from doing something unthinkable to his family.

How to start watching Dark Matter at home

Dark Matter makes its premiere on Apple TV+ on Wednesday, May 8. The first two episodes will drop at midnight PT, or 3:00 a.m. ET. After the two-episode premiere, new episodes will be released once a week on Wednesdays.

Here's the schedule of release for all eight episodes through the finale on June 19:

  • Episode 1, "Are You Happy in Your Life?" - May 8
  • Episode 2, "Trip of a Lifetime" - May 8
  • Episode 3, "The Box" - May 15
  • Episode 4, "The Corridor" - May 22
  • Episode 5, "Dark Velocity" - May 29
  • Episode 6, "F**king Married People" - June 5
  • Episode 7, "In the Fires of Dead Stars" - June 12
  • Episode 8, "Jupiter" - June 19

Since Dark Matter is an Apple TV+ original series, it will stream exclusively on the service, so you will need to purchase a subscription if you want to keep up with the entire first season.
