Break out the pumpkin-flavored treats and prepare to relax in front of the television tonight as Food Network's fall slate of baking competition shows gets underway, starting with the tenth season of Halloween Baking Championship. The series returns tonight on the Food Network.

This season, the ten chosen bakers will experiment with bubbling concoctions and broken glass desserts as part of their efforts in the Chemistry Laboratory at Henson Labs. It looks like season 10 will have a very "mad scientist" theme for the bakers to toy with, and the premiere starts with desserts inspired by the toxic chemicals in the lab and lots of sugar glass.

Fan favorite judges Carla Hall, Zac Young, and Stephanie Boswell return to judge the contestants this season. They will decide which bakers move to the next round...and which ones to send to the cryo-freeze. John Henson is back to host.

Future episodes this season will include a fun Beetlejuice tie-in in the Paranormal Research Lab, an episode centered around rotten and forgotten desserts, and an homage to The Wizard of Oz in honor of the film's 85th anniversary.

Meet the bakers
